This listing is of restaurants considered a cut above others on the island, come from my own experiences and others as a result of recommendations from others. Some of them have their own websites. Those that do have the link imbedded in their title. They all have their own unique menus and are not listed based on anything other than they have a solid reputation for value for the price you pay. Recommendations from all are welcome to add to this list, since I am no gourmet food expert.
Pisces is my favorite restaurant on the island. Open only for dinner the food and service is normally excellent. Their pizza is outstanding. The menu consists of native Bahamian, European and American cuisine. Their seafood is outstanding and the value for the price you pay is in that same category - outstanding. It is recommended you make reservations if you are going to be on the island during high season (December thru April).
Lucianos is another establishment open for dinner only. It was my favorite for a long time, but as I noted above, but has taken that position for evening dining. Not by a lot though! They feature European and Bahamian items on their menu. This is another, more upscale, restaurant where you should make a reservation before going their to dine. Their website includes their menu with prices.
Shenanigan's Irish Pub is located in the heart of the Port Lucaya Marketplace and Marina. You can find much more information by clicking on their link above, including a menu. Good food and a good atmosphere.
Zorba's is one of the favorite restaurants of many people. It is located in the Port Lucaya Marketplace and Marina. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided with good food at great prices. Service is usually excellent and the place is always busy. While Zorba's is a Greek restaurant their menu is loaded with many other selections. Click on their link above for details.
No restaurant listing about the island would be complete without including Billy Joe's. This is a conch shack (but with many other menu items), located on the beach immediately adjacent to the Our Lucaya Resort (Reef Village). Billy Joe has been there since the 1970s, and for a beach bar and grill there has never been a better place. They also beat the prices charged by Our Lucaya at their three beach bars and restaurants by a comfortable margin. Billy Joe's is one of the don't miss spots on the island if you are anywhere near Port Lucaya.
Le Med is another affordable place in the Port Lucaya Marketplace and Marina open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can sit inside or on the deck overlooking the Marina. Their menu has a large selection and can be viewed with other information about the restaurant by clicking on their link above.
East is a relatively new restaurant bordering the Count Basie Square in the Port Lucaya Marketplace and Marina. It is Asian cuisine. You can find their menu and other information by clicking on the link above.
